Susanna Foster

Susanna Foster ( born December 6, 1924 as Susanna DeLee Flanders Larson in Chicago, Illinois, † January 17, 2009 in Englewood, New Jersey) was an American film actress.

Life

At the age of twelve years, Susanna Foster began her singing and acting career. Her film debut was in 1939 in three-quarter time on Broadway. Great success came in 1943 in The Phantom of the Opera. In 1945, she retired from acting. 47 years later, in 1992, she had a brief comeback in the film Detour.

Susanna Foster was married from 1948 to 1956 with the actor Wilbur Evans. The couple has two sons.
