The Sweet Station is located on the 1847 and here opened Filstalbahn Stuttgart -Ulm ( kilometer 50.4 ). From 1901 until its complete closure in 1995 branched into sweet from the Lauterbrunnen Valley Railway by Lauterstein - white stone.

The train station is performed in the operating agencies directory under the name TSD and is classified in category 4 station of Deutsche Bahn AG. The station is located in the northern city of sweetening. To the west next to the station is the bus station.

Infrastructure

The station has seven tracks, which serve one track ( main platform ) as fast tracks, the tracks 2 and 3 ( central platform ) for the processing of passenger traffic, track 4 is used as a thoroughfare rail towards Stuttgart. The tracks 5 and 6 are no longer used, Track 7 served with its outer platform to trade in the Lauterbrunnen Valley Railway. Next there are (still) some freight tracks, but these are used only sporadically for parking cars.

History

On 21 April 2004 a test train on the way from Ulm to Ludwigshafen and a loaded running these trains collided. The railcar leader was killed in the attack, the six members of the Messzugs suffered injuries.

From August 2010 to June 2012, the station was renovated and barrier-free accessible by two lifts and a control system. The underpass has been redesigned, new lighting installed, and installed a dynamic passenger information system. The charges railway, federal, state and city a total cost of 2.6 million euros by train information.
