Description

The Sussex Spaniel is a flushing dog, which can be up to 41 inches tall and about 23 kg. The body is built strong, long and muscular and has a stocky and straight back. Characteristic is his, for Spaniels unusual, rolling gait. The legs are rather short and set the cock deep. The Sussex Spaniel has a droopy snout.

The coat of this dog is lush, moderately long and silky. It is sleek to the body and is on the ears, legs, rump and tail a little longer. The undercoat is very dense. The color of the hair is golden liver color, towards the tips, it is golden.

The eyes of this breed are hazel in color with a gentle look. Previously, the tail of the Sussex Spaniel was always docked, undocked today but also rods are permitted.
