Suwâld

Suwald ( Dutch: Suawoude ) is a Dutch village with around 651 inhabitants ( 2008). He belongs to the municipality Tytsjerksteradiel in the province of Friesland. The West Frisian name Suwald is officially approved since 1989. The village is located ten kilometers south-east of Leeuwarden on the edge of the woods Frisian ( Frisian Frisian Wâlden or short Wâlden ).
