Suzie Frankfurt

Suzanne " Suzie " Frankfurt ( born August 21, 1931 in Los Angeles, California as Suzanne Allen, † January 7, 2005 in Riverdale / Bronx, New York) was an American designer and artist.

Life

Suzanne Allen was an employee of advertising agency Young & Rubicam where 1955 Stephen O. Frankfurt, the Art Director of the Agency met and married. Stephen Frankfurt itself was among other things a designer for film title; as example, he designed the opening credits for " To Kill a Mockingbird " (1962 with Gregory Peck). The couple were divorced in 1968.

Suzie met 1959 the aspiring artist Andy Warhol for an exhibition opening at the Plaza Hotel in New York and designed with him the elaborate and humorous cookbook " Wild Raspberries " (Eng. "Wild Raspberries " ), which is a homonymous exhibition at New York's Bodley Gallery concomitantly illustrated. In addition, she designed, along with Warhol, numerous greeting cards and other gift items.

Suzie Frankfurt, died on January 7, 2005 at the age of 73 years in Seniorenwohnheim Hebrew Home for the Aged ( Bronx / NYC ) of a brain tumor.
