Suzuki Baleno Hatchback (1995-1999)

The Suzuki Baleno is a compact car from Suzuki, which was built from mid- 1995 until the end of 2001. It was available as a four-door saloon ( sedan), three-door Hatchback (Hatchback) and station wagon ( Wagon ) with engines that 86 ( 1.3 L ), 98 ( 1.6 L ) or 121 (1.8 L ) PS contributed.

The wheelbase measured 2480 mm. The hatchback version was 3870 mm long, the notchback sedan and the station wagon uniform 4375 mm. The width was 1695 mm and height 1395 mm. The empty weight was given as 845-920 kg.

In the spring of 1999, the Baleno received a facelift and was equipped from this point with so-called "fish-eye - clear-glass headlights ".

The Baleno counted together with the Swift the most popular models from Suzuki. However, a disadvantage of the model was too weak drive train ( transmission, drive shafts ), which easily broke during fast driving.

Successor to the Baleno was the Suzuki Liana, which was built at the end of 2001 as a five-door hatchback and four-door notchback sedan.
