SV 1899 Mühlhausen

The SV 1899 Mühlhausen is a German sports club based in Mühlhausen / Thuringia Unstrut Hainich. The association is active in athletics, football, volleyball, fencing, boxing, disabled sports, gymnastics, darts, badminton and Capoeira.

History

1899 FC Germania 1899 Mühlhausen was founded. The FC Germania Mühlhausen was a founding member of the DFB and is adjacent to the SC Erfurt in 1895 one of the oldest football clubs in Thuringia. 1918 merged with Germania Teutonia 1901 SV 1899. With the end of the Second World War, the club was disbanded and not initially re-established.

New clubs were founded in 1972 and was created by a merger of the post of the BSG BSG BSG Motor Union Mühlhausen. 1989/90 the team played in the relay B of the DDR -Liga. After the turn you renamed itself to SV Union in Mühlhausen. In 1994, the union merged with Fitness 90 to SV 1899 Mühlhausen.

1997, divided the football department from the rest of the club under the name of Union FC Mulhouse. The SV 1899 is still playing active football, but in lower leagues. Currently (as of season 2011 /12) played by the club in the second lowest division of the Thuringian Football Association, the 2nd circuit class Unstrut Hainich.
