SV Hindenburg Allenstein

The SV Hindenburg Olsztyn ( Olsztyn Hindenburg later location MSV ) was a sports club from the East Prussia located in present-day Poland Olsztyn.

History

The club was founded in 1921 as SV Hindenburg Olsztyn. The club name goes back to the Field Marshal and later Reich President Paul von Hindenburg. 1929, the club was relegated in the top flight, the District League East Prussia. With the introduction of Gauligen in 1933, the most successful period of the club, as in the years 1936, 1937 and 1939 the championship of the Gauliga East Prussia could be won and it was thus qualified for the finals of the German Football Championship began.

With the beginning of World War II in 1939 from 1935 under the name location MSV Hindenburg had become a military club club could no longer participate in the game mode. With the end of the war, the club ceased to exist.
