SV Saestum

The Sport Vereniging (abbreviated SV) Saestum is a Dutch sports club from the city of Zeist. Sporty figurehead is the women's football department.

History

The club was founded on January 6, 1926. Women's football is played only since 1981. Since the formation of the SV Hoofdklasse Saestum belongs to this class. In 1996 the club became champion for the first time. This was the first of five championships in a row. In 1997 and 1998 the club trophy winner was. After a year's break, the sixth title in 2002 could be won. The year before, and in the two years after that had to be left to the VV Ter Leede from Sass Home precedence. In the UEFA Women 's Cup they finished second in the group behind the Norwegian champions Trondheim -Ørn. 2004 it was the third time Cup winner and won the inaugural played Supercup. A year later, the seventh championship was celebrated. The second appearance at a European level was more successful.
