SV Stern Britz 1889

The SV Star Britz is a German sports club based in Berlin. Home of the football department is the stadium on Buckower dam, which offers 5,000 spectators. The club is the direct successor to the Berliner FC Star 1889, which is one of the founding clubs of the DFB.

Football section

Star Britz was founded in 1889, initially under the name Berliner FC Marbert, but still occurred in the first year a renamed Berlin Star FC 89 The BFC star was in 1900 a founding club of the DFB, former homestead was the Tempelhof Field.

In sporting terms, the club took part in the championship of the Association of Berlin ballgame clubs, best finish was in the season 1906/ 07, an eighth rank in the Oberliga Berlin. 1926 reached the BFC star the quarter-finals of the Berlin Cup, defeated the favored forward 90 Berlin but with 2:3. In the aftermath of the BFC played until 1945 no role in the higher-class football more, any participation in the Gauliga Berlin -Brandenburg did not take place.

1945, the club was disbanded. An immediate start-up and participation to Stadtliga Berlin was not completed, until 1950, the club went under the name Neuköllner FC star again in appearance. The NFC Star no longer played as opposed to local rivals NSC Südstern - Azur or Neuköllner sports fans in the higher-class soccer West Berlin.

1973 took the NFC Stern a merger with SpVgg. Britz-Süd 49 for SV Star Britz. Current Game class is the district league Berlin.
