The SV Türk Gücü Munich was a football club based in Munich.

History

Türk Gücü [ Turkish for (Turkish ) power / force ] Munich was founded around 1972 by a group of Turkish migrants to Alaattin Candar and Ömer Ilciktay. After a start under financial and human difficulties, however, was in 1975 after a change of president financial support can be obtained. After continuous build the association succeeded in 1988 with the rise in the Bavarian League as second migrant club after Türkiyemspor Berlin, the rise in a German amateur league. • Erhan Önal, the first child migrants of Turkish descent, who played in the Bundesliga.
• Ilhan Mansız, a Turkish national team, scored a golden goal against Senegal at the World Cup 2002.

He completed several games for the Turkish national team. He currently plays for Eskisehirspor in the Turkish Süperlig.

Volleyball

1987/88 there were also league volleyball at Türk Gücü. The women with the internationals Danuta Niemietz, Nina Sawatzki and Michaela Luckner 1988 occupied third place in the Bundesliga 1. The men around national team setter Gabor Csontos took over the place from the Bundesliga TSV Ottobrunn and managed to avoid relegation. A season later pulled one back from the volleyball back.
