Sven Meyer

Sven Meyer ( born September 4, 1970 in West Berlin) is a German footballer who is currently under contract with Berliner Sport-Club.

Playing career

Sven Meyer began as a five year old at Rapide Wedding playing football. He subsequently transferred to the youth of Tennis Borussia Berlin, before he went in 1988 to Hertha BSC. There he was first and subsequently used in the A- youth in the amateurs. On the second matchday of the 1992/93 season Sven Meyer made ​​his debut for Hertha's professional team in the 2nd Bundesliga, as he was substituted just before the end in the game at Hannover 96 for Torsten Gowitzke. A regular place but, however, he could not fight there under Bernd Stange still under Günter Sebert. So it was that he still mostly aground for Amateurelf which surprisingly reached the DFB Cup final in the same season. After a season Sven Meyer returned in November 1998 returned to Germany, where he received a contract with SV Babelsberg 03. Babelsberg played at this time in the regional league and reached there on the 15th place in the league.

So Meyer returned to Berlin in summer 2002. There, he signed a contract with TeBe and began at the same time to study business administration. With Tennis Borussia Meyer competed in the fourth division Oberliga Nordost. There, they finished in the final table in fourth place. For the season 2003/ 04 Meyer was then captain of Borussia. However, after the fifth place in the final standings Meyer TeBe left and went to Spandau SV.

With the Spandauern Sven Meyer, however, increased in 2007 in the league, which was finished in 12th place, through a reform league in the 2008 /09 season only played fünftklassig. During the winter break Sven Meyer moved to Berlin SC. With the BSC Meyer on first attempt in the re-emergence in the Berlin -Liga, where Meyer was able to contribute four goals to a rebirth.
