Svojšín

Svojšín ( German Schweißing ) is a municipality with 446 inhabitants ( 1 January 2004) in the Czech Republic. It is situated in 406 m asl creek at the mouth of Černošínský in the Mies and belongs to the Okres Tachov on. The place is located six kilometers north-west of Stříbro on the railway line to Plana.

History

The village Svaysin The date of the establishment of the Peter and Paul church was first mentioned in 1176th is to 1180th In the 14th century a division of the town was in Oberschweißing with the Peter and Paul's church and a castle. Schweißing was since the 15th century belonged to the noble family of Paběnice on Nalžovy, which changed its name to Svojský of Nalžovy. Through marriage came the rule in the second half of the 16th century to the Příchovský Příchovice, in whose possession it remained until the end of the 18th century. 1795 Schweißing was bought by Josef Johann Ritter von Bigatto. After his death in 1812, Anton Karl Josef Freiherr von Juncker was used to Oberkunreuth as heir. Until the abolition of patrimonial rule in 1850 the village was owned by the family Juncker Bigatto. The Schweißing castle came in 1935 by inheritance Clemens Graf von Podewils - Juncker Bigatto (* 1905, † 1978), and was until 1945 the center of life of his family.

Attractions

At seven kilometers north-west Vlčí hora ( Wolfsberg ) are the ruins of the castle Volfštejn ( Wolffenstein ).
