Swabian children

The child markets in Upper Swabia found mostly take place at Josephine (19 March ). To " Simon and Judah " ( end of October) or Martini ( November 11th) we went back towards home. The luggage was then the so-called " double Häs " ( a double set of clothes from the headgear to footwear) and depending on the age and the negotiated price some florins.

Hats Children markets existed in Ravensburg, Friedrichshafen, Kempten and in cheeks, Weingarten, Tettnang and Bad Waldsee, if necessary.

Reception

Elmar Bereuter published in 2002 the novel The Swabian children. The history of Kaspanaze who gave the impetus for the film by Jo Baier 2003 under the title Schwabenkinder. ( The film tells a different story than the book ).
