Swabian Keuper-Lias Plains

The Swabian Keuper- Lias - country is the natural spatial feature unit group 10 in southwest Germany. It lies almost entirely in Baden- Württemberg, a small part in the extreme east, the Ries at Nördlingen, located in Bavaria,

The landscape includes the southwestern part of the Keuper mountain country and the separating Lias sinks, which is immediately north of the Swabian Alb ( 09) and connect it to the east Gäuplatten in the Neckar and Tauber country (12). Together with the north-east subsequent Franconian Keuper- Lias - country (11 ) it forms a natural spatial Greater Region 3rd order.
