Swedish National Space Board

The Swedish National Space Board ( SNSB ) (Swedish Rymdstyrelsen ) is a government agency of the Swedish Ministry of Education and Research. It is funded though about 70 percent of the Department of Enterprise, Energy and Communications. Every year the SNSB are about 700 million Swedish crowns (about 80 million euros ) are available. The main duties include distributing funds from the government, to be used for research in space. Another important aspect is the cooperation in international projects with ESA, but about 65 percent of the funds are used. The SNSB In 2011, 17 employees and an office in the city of Solna near Stockholm. Even with NASA is cooperation. The SNSB is headed since 2009 by Olle Norberg.
