Sweet Thursday is the debut album of the same folk rock band, founded in 1968 by Jon Mark, Nicky Hopkins, Alun Davies, Harvey Burns and Brian Odgers. The distribution and sale of the album suffered from a contemporaneous with the publication of the bankruptcy record company, to which the band has dissolved.

History

" Sweet Thursday " is the second album jointly issued the two school friends Jon Mark and Alun Davies, who received in 1963 the folk album "Relax Your Mind". 1968 formed the band " Sweet Thursday " the two together with Nicky Hopkins, Harvey Burns and Brian Odgers. In December 1968, was released by the label " Tetragrammaton " their first with " Sweet Thursday " rehearsed single " Getting It Together " (A- side) and " Mary On The Runaround " (B-side ). The two composed by Jon Mark songs missing from the debut album " Sweet Thursday ," but are included on a CD edition of the album as a bonus track.

The sales and success of the published in 1969 debut album " Sweet Thursday " was the simultaneous bankruptcy of the record company to the victim.
