Świątki ( German Marienthron ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It is incorporated into the city Szczecinek ( Pommern ).

Geographical location

The village is located in Eastern Pomerania, about 150 km east of Szczecin, near the southern shore of Streitzigsees. East of the village runs in a north -south direction the country road 20

History

The village originated from the farm estate of the monastery Marienthron. The monastery was founded in 1356 by the Pomeranian dukes Bogislaw V, Barnim IV and V. Wartislaw and went with the Reformation in the 16th century. The farm estate was incorporated in 1588 in the ducal office Pommern.

In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemann's detail description of the current state of the Royal Prussian Duchy pros and Pomerania (1784 ) was Marienthron listed as knights free Vorwerk in the Official Pommern.

In 1910 Marienthron formed a Gutsbezirk in Neustettin who scored 73 inhabitants. Later, the Gutsbezirk was incorporated in the rural community of huts at Gellin.

After the Second World War came Marienthron how completely Pomerania to Poland. It was the Polish place names Świątki and is now in the city Szczecinek ( Pommern ) incorporated.
