Sydals Municipality

Sydals municipality ( German: municipality Südalsen ) was a municipality in Jutland Office ( Northern Schleswig ) in southwest Denmark. It included the four southern municipalities on the island of Als, namely Høruphav, Kegnæs, Lysabild and Tandslet. In this form, the municipality was created in 1970. On 1 January 2007 they went together with the municipalities Augustenborg, Broager, Gråsten, Nordborg, Sundeved and Sønderborg Sønderborg in the new municipality with about 70,000 inhabitants on.
