Sydney Seaplanes

Sydney Seaplanes is an Australian airline based in Sydney. However, Sydney Seaplanes operates no scheduled flight line.

History

The airline was formed in 2006 through the merger of Sydney Harbour Seaplanes, Seaplane Safaris and Southern Cross Seaplanes. Its founder and CEO is a native of New Zealand commercial pilot Aaron Shaw. The company employs 2011, five pilots, one of which comes only one from Australia. The total number of employees varies seasonally between ten and 15

Destinations

The airline offers short- haul routes in the vicinity of Sydney (eg Newcastle) with seaplanes.

Fleet

As of August 2013, there is a fleet of two aircraft of type DHC- 2 Beaver and a Cessna C- 208 Caravan.
