Sydney Tamiia Poitier

Sydney Tamiia Poitier (* November 15, 1973 in Los Angeles ) is an American actress. Final notoriety she gained for her role in Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof - Grindhouse.

Life

Sydney Tamiia Poitier is the daughter of the famous actor Sidney Poitier and Joanna Shimkus and the Canadian actress grew up as the youngest of six sisters, four half-sisters, in Los Angeles. She studied acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she also received her degree.

Career

Poitier played her first role in 1998 in the independent film Park Day. After some minor appearances she received as Riley Kessler a starring role in the television series First Years. This series but was dismissed after only nine episodes.
