Sylvester Medal

The Sylvester Medal (English Sylvester Medal ) is a British award from the Royal Society for researchers in the field of mathematics. It is made of bronze and is worth £ 1,000. The Sylvester Medal was awarded every three years for outstanding contributions in mathematical research since 1901. Since 2010, the award of the medal every two years takes place. The medal is named after the mathematician James Joseph Sylvester ( 1814-1897 ).
