Synanthrope

The term Synanthropie denotes the adaptation of an animal or plant species to the human settlement area so that it is not to supplement their population dependent from the outside. The corresponding adjective is called synanthropic.

This is often further differentiated:

Eusynanthropie ( = mandatory Synanthropie ): Occurrence and reproduction of each life form are limited, at least within a given climate zone on the human settlement area. In Central Europe this applies for example for the bed bug, the drugstore beetle or the previously detected exclusively in houses orb spider Steatoda Grossa.

Hemisynanthropie ( = Synanthropie optional ): The corresponding form of life found in settlements from optimal living conditions, however, comes to a small extent outside of settlements before. This applies in Central Europe, for example, for the swifts.
