Synonym ring

Distinctions
We distinguish lexical and conceptual ( conceptual ) relations (relations) within a synset.
Lexical relations
( a) the importance of identity or similarity of word meaning ( synonymy ),
( b) the Gegenteiligkeit of meaning ( antonyms ) and
( c ) etymological relations.
Conceptual relations
( a) the ratio of upper to lower terms ( Hyperonymie / hyponymy or Super ordination / subordination;
( b) the ratio of a portion of a whole ( meronymy / Holonymie );
( c ) the causal relationship ( cause and effect).
