Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Kothamangalam

The Diocese of Kothamangalam (Latin: Dioecesis Kothamangalamensis ) is a diocese of the united with the Roman Catholic Church Syro - Malabar Church, based in Kothamangalam in India.

History

Pope Pius XII. founded the bishopric with the Apostolic Constitution Qui in Beati Petri on 29 July 1956 cession of territory of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam, which it was assumed as a suffragan.

On 15 January 2003 it lost part of its territory to the Eparchy of Idukki.
