Szymon Kołecki

Szymon Kołecki ( born October 12, 1981 in Oława ) is a Polish weightlifter.

Personal

Kołecki is the son of Leszek Kołecki, who was also a weightlifter and currently (as of February 2011) has been working as a coach. Szymon Kołecki is married and has two children. He also runs two gyms in Pultusk and Ciechanów.

Sporting career

Kołecki made ​​internationally at the age of 14 years intently as he took second place at the European Championships of young people in Burgas in the class to 83 kg. With a body weight of 77.80 kg, he scored 275.0 kg ( 122.5 / 152.5 kg ) and thus placed himself behind Vladimir Smortschkow, who lifted 292.5 kg.

In the next few years Kołecki was represented at every World Cup and European Championships for seniors and launched also at various meetings of the juniors.
