T. A. Barron

Thomas Archibald Barron ( born March 26, 1952 in Boston) is an American author. His signature is TAB, which are according to the author, the first two letters not only for Thomas Archibald, but also for "The Author".

Life

Barron grew up in Massachusetts, Colorado, and studied at Princeton and Oxford philosophy, politics and economics. He worked as an investment manager in New York, before he became a freelance writer in 1990. Barron lives with his wife, Currie and their children in Boulder, Colorado.

His successful Merlin saga was translated into many languages. The trilogy The magic of Avalon is a kind of sequel series of Merlin saga, but this trilogy plays only a long time after the Merlin saga. The main character is not Merlin. In October 2010, the third volume of his Merlin's Dragon trilogy appeared in English. This trilogy plays between the Merlin saga and The Magic of Avalon trilogy. Next, book now to appear in July 2011, the picture book Ghost Hands. This is, in his own words, inspired by a visit to the Patagonia region of South America.

In the fall of 2013, Atlantis Rising, a novel about the emergence of Atlantis, published in English.

In addition, he is active in several national committees and at Princeton University, where he helped establish the Princeton Environmental Institute and the Wilderness Society, which honored him with an award for its natural protective work.

T.A. Barron also founded an award for social, young people, the Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes and Metehan. The price he named after his mother Gloria.
