T.G.I. Friday's

T.G.I. Friday's is an American restaurant chain with more than 900 restaurants in more than 60 countries. The company is part of the Carlson Companies. The first restaurant was opened in 1965 in New York City, the stores are usually organized through a franchise system.

Name

The name T.G.I. Friday's is the company after an abbreviation of Thank Goodness it's Friday ( "Thank God it's Friday "). Since TGIF a universally used acronym for Thank God it's Friday ( the translation into German here identical) in American English, Thank Goodness it's Friday or Thank Gosh it's Friday ( " Gosh - it's Friday " ), it is colloquially the abbreviation TGI also different from the official corporate version used. Branches

Appearance

The restaurants are externally held red and white in the corporate colors and interior often equipped with some antique-style interior.
