Tabac (perfume)

Tabac Original (own spelling: TABAC ) is a proprietary brand of men's cosmetics series of Mäurer & Wirtz. She was one of the first men's fragrances worldwide and is available on the German market since 1951. The products of the series are characterized by a dry-spicy dominant and a rounded with precious woods, musk, amber and floral notes fragrance.

In 1951, the history of the product line began when the house Mäurer & Wirtz brought under the name TABAC a perfumed luxury soap on the market. The fragrance by American soldiers also common in the U.S., where perfumes were still in force at the time as exclusively female, but what now slowly changing. The success of this soap and the fear of imitation led Mäurer & Wirtz end of 1952 marked "original " to add. From 1959, other products such as aftershave, deodorants and sunscreen have been put on the market, which extended up today to a fragrance and skin care line for men.
