Taboo (rapper)

Jaime Luis Gomez (born 14 July 1975 Rosemead, California ), better known as Taboo, is an American rapper with mexikanisch-amerikanischer/nordamerikanischer Indian descent. He became known for his successful hip- hop group The Black Eyed Peas.

His ancestors were Native American Shoshone. Taboos father was born in Morelia, the capital of the Mexican state of Michoacán, while his mother was born in Los Angeles.

Taboo married Jaymie Dizon July 12, 2008 in Pasadena, California. The couple has two sons: Jimmy Jalen Gomez, born July 19, 2009 and Journey, born on 26 April 2011.

He already has a son from a previous relationship named Joshua Parish Gomez (born 17 October 1993).

In 1995, he joined the two rappers will.i.am and apl.de.ap of the U.S. hip- hop band The Black Eyed Peas, the then Atban Klann were called and were renamed after a record label change to The Black Eyed Peas.

Gomez announced plans to open an art school for children in his native City, Rosemead, California.
