Tad (band)

Tad was a grunge band that was founded in 1987 in Seattle.

For the band's name singer Tad Doyle was the inspiration. The sound of the band surpassed in hardness clearly the other grunge bands such as Pearl Jam, so Tad denied blieb.Ihr first album called God 's Balls of 1989 is still a good example of the early grunge sound ( Jack Endino produced the commercial breakthrough ), who was in the case of TAD even more inspired by metal than anything else. After five studio and one live album, the band broke up in 1997.

In 2001, Tad Doyle, the succession lineup Hog Molly, who developed the sound of Tad, while bassist Danielson called the project Valis to life with members of Mudhoney and Screaming Trees.
