Taïeb Baccouche

Taieb Baccouche ( born April 13, 1944 in Jemmel ) is a Tunisian politician. He is Minister of Education of his country and spokesman for the transitional government of Tunisia.

Life

After graduation in 1963, he studied linguistics at the Sorbonne in Paris, where he qualified as well.

Policy

Baccouche is since January 17, 2011 Minister of Education of the Tunisian transitional government. Previously, he was president of the Institute of the Droits de l' Homme Arabe ( 1998-2011 ). Baccouche began his political activity in the 70 - years as General Secretary of the National Union of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the National Education Association in Tunisia. After he was from 1981 to 1984 Secretary General of the Union Générale Tunisienne du Travail ( UGTT ), he became the President to section Menzehs - Manars the Tunisian League for Human Rights and was finally in 1998 president of the Institute of the Droits de l' Homme Arabe.
