Tajura

Tagiura (Arabic تاجوراء Tadjoura ', also Tajoura ) is a city in Libya, on the Mediterranean coast in the district of Tripoli, 14 km east of Tripoli and in the region of Tripolitania.

From 2001 to 2007 Tagiura was the capital of the district Tagiura wa Arba.

History

The Ottoman Turks established a base in 1531 Tagiura.

Tagiura was the center of nuclear research in Libya, with a house built by the Soviet Union 10 -megawatt reactor, which became operational in 1981.
