Takahito Soma

Takahito Sōma (Japanese相 马 崇 人, Sōma Takahito, born December 10, 1981 in Kawasaki ) is a Japanese footballer who plays for Vissel Kobe in the first Japanese League since 2011.

He began his professional career at Tokyo Verdy 1969. He played there from 2003 to 2005. He won in 2004 with Verdy the Emperor's Cup. In 2005 he moved to the Urawa Red Diamonds. There he was in his first season, the same Japanese masters, SuperCup winner and the second time Emperor's Cup winner. A year later, he won with the team's AFC Champions League. He also took part in the FIFA Club World Cup in 2007. After the end of the contract in 2008, he joined the Portuguese league to Marítimo Funchal. Since July 2010 Sōma played for Energie Cottbus and completed 20 games. After he did not return in June 2011 from a furlough from Japan, the contract was terminated with Sōma. From the season 2011/12 Soma will play again in his home at Vissel Kobe.
