A rainbow over the Takakkaw Falls

The Takakkaw Falls is a waterfall in Yoho National Park, near Field, British Columbia, Canada. With a height of 381.1 meters, it is, according to the official measure, the second highest waterfall in western Canada, after Della Falls with 440 m. However, the free fall is only 254 meters high.

Takakkaw comes from the language of the Cree and means something like " it's great ". The waterfall is from the Daly Glacier is, the part of the Waputik ice field. They are a tourist attraction, especially in late spring after the snow melts, when the waterfall has the most water. The Takakkaw Falls was published in 1995 in the film The Last of the Dogmen.
