Takashima, Nagasaki (Nishisonogi)

Takashima (Japanese高 岛 町, -chō ) was a small town in the district Nishisonogi, Nagasaki Prefecture. It consisted of the islands Takashima and Hashima off the coast near the city of Nagasaki.

On January 4, 2005, the city Takashima, along with Iojima, Kōyagi, Nomozaki, Sanwa and Sotome was - all from the district Nishisonogi - amalgamated to Nagasaki.

In 2003, the city had a floor area of ​​approximately 1.34 km ² and about 790 inhabitants.
