Takayuki Kiyooka

Kiyooka Takayuki (Japanese清 冈 卓 行, born June 9, 1922 in Dalian, China, † June 3, 2006 in Tokyo, Japan ) was a Japanese writer and poet.

Life

Kiyooka studied French literature at the University of Tokyo. His work was influenced by the French poet Arthur Rimbaud.

In his 1969 novel, Akashiya no Dairen he describes a meeting with his deceased wife. For this work he received the 69th Akutagawa Prize.
