Takeo Wada

Takeo Wada (Japanese和田..., Wada [ Takeo ], * 1882, † 1944) was a Japanese mathematician.

Wada graduated from Kyoto University in 1908 and an assistant professor. From 1917 to 1920 he visited the USA, France and Germany. After his return, he was promoted to professor. His main area of ​​work was the analysis, but he was also interested in topology.

A topological example, the lakes of Wada, is named after him. It appeared in a paper by Kunizō Yoneyama, but this was attributed by Wada.
