Takht-e Foulad

Takht -e- Fulad (Persian تخته فولاد, IPA: tæxt ɛ fulɑd ) is a historic cemetery in the Iranian city of Isfahan. The cemetery is at least 800 years old. In the 13th century ( Ilkhanate era ) Takht -e- Fulad was the main cemetery of the city, on which its most prominent citizens were buried. Besides Baba Rokn ed-Din Mausoleum, the oldest building Takht -e- Fulads, everything was destroyed. During the Safavid era the city was home to about 400 tombs, of which only eight still exist today. At the time of Qadscharen a large part of the cemetery was destroyed, but lost its importance not to Pahlavi. Before the Safavid period, the cemetery as Lessan ol - Ars and Baba Rokn ed-Din was known, and was named afterwards.

At the urging of the residents towards the authorities founded in 1994, the Takht -e- Fulad cultural and religious association to finance the renovation and repair of the cemetery. From 1994, several grave stones could be conserved.

Whales Mausoleum

Whales Esfahani was a poet and calligrapher in Isfahan during the era Fath Ali Shah. He died in 1814, whereupon his grave was built.

I Department

Many notables were buried in Takht -e- Fulad. One was I Fendereski, the famous mystic and scholar of the Safavid period. Meanwhile grave bedekt one big marble stone on which the date of the 1050 Islamic calendar is immortalized ( in the Gregorian calendar equal 1640). In addition, a ghazal from Hafiz ( in Nastaliq font) by Mir Emad, a Kaligrafen the Safavid era stucco. This is the only I Emads inscription on the wall of a structure.

Agha Hosseyn Khansari Mausoleum

Agha Hosseyn Khansari was a very influential scientist in court Safi II. His mausoleum was the only one that has been established for a scientist.
