Chao Phraya

The Taksin Bridge ( Thai: สะพาน สมเด็จ พระเจ้าตากสิน, Saphan Taksin Somdet Phrachao ) is a bridge in Bangkok, which spans the Chao Phraya River. It connects the municipalities Sathon, and Bang Rak - both located on the eastern side of the river - with Khlong San on the western side. It is named after King Taksin.

The bridge is designed so that between the carriageways, a large gap is left in the Bangkok Skytrain wrong. On the east side of the Skytrain station Saphan Taksin and a boat dock for the trains running in Bangkok ferries lie.
