Takuto Iguchi

Takuto Iguchi (Japanese井口 卓 人, Takuto Iguchi; born February 13, 1988 in Fukuoka Prefecture ) is a Japanese racing driver.

Career

Iguchi began his motorsport career in karting, where he was active until 2005. Among other things, in 2005 he was third in the Asia-Pacific Championship ICA. In 2006 he moved to Formula racing. He joined two years in the Japanese Formula Challenge. After he had finished his first season in tenth place, he was in 2007 with a win sixth in the overall standings. 2007 moved Iguchi to TOM 'S in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. With three victories, he was behind his team-mate Carlo van Dam and Keisuke Kunimoto third in the championship. In addition, Iguchi debuted in GT racing and was 32nd in the Super GT GT300 rating. 2008 Iguchi stayed with TOM'S and completed his second season in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. He won five races and was his team mate Marcus Ericsson, the driver with the most wins. By season's end he had only beaten by Ericsson and was runner- up with 103 to 112 points. The Macau Grand Prix ended Iguchi this season in sixth place and was the best Asian pilot in this race. In addition, he continued his commitment to the Super GT Championship and closed on the 10th rank of the GT300 rating.

2010 moved to Iguchi Deliziefollie / Cerumo - Inging in the Formula Nippon. In his debut season he managed a sixth place as best result to only drive at a race in the points. The season he finished in 13th Moreover, he scored in the Super GT its first win in the GT300 championship, which he finished in fifth place. 2011, Iguchi seventh in the Super GT. In addition, he took 2011 as the representative for André Lotterer for TOM'S part in a round of the Formula Nippon.
