Talinolol a mixture of two isomeric chemical compounds from the group of urea derivatives, which act as beta blockers and medically as antihypertensive drugs ( antihypertensive ) is used.

Mode of action
Talinolol acts as an antagonist to the β1 -adrenoceptors.
Indications
The substance is effective in the treatment of hypertension.
Side effects
The side effects include:
- Central nervous system disorders such as fatigue, dizziness, sweating, headache and insomnia
- Bradycardia
- Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea
- Vasodilatation of the extremities ( effect of β2 - receptors)
- Increase in airway resistance ( effect of β2 - receptors)
Contraindications
Contraindications are:
- Bradycardia
- Sick sinus syndrome
- Severe arterial hypotension
- Diabetes mellitus
- Prinzmetal's angina
- Severe heart failure
- Impending birth
