Tamao Yoshida

Yoshida Tamao (Japanese吉田 玉 男, actually: Sueichi Ueda (上 田 末 一), born January 7, 1919 in Osaka, † 24 September 2006) was a Japanese Bunraku puppet master.

Career

He began in 1933 with fourteen years in Yoshida Tamajirō with training to puppeteer and adopted the stage name Yoshida Tamao. From 1934 he appeared in a Bunraku Theater in Osaka. 1940-1944 he did his military service. In 1946 he takes the puppet again as a senior puppeteer.
