Tandoori masala

Tandoori Masala (also tandoori masala ) is a spice blend of Indian cuisine, which is used for marinating meat dishes from the tandoor, a charcoal oven.

Components of tandoori masala are essentially mortar-ground chilies, cumin and coriander seeds. For the chicken marinade it is mixed with yogurt, along with garlic, onions, ginger, salt and lemon juice. Because of the color is still sometimes saffron, today often added some red food coloring.
