Tanio Boccia

Tanio Boccia (* 1912 in Potenza, † 1982 in Rome ) was an Italian screenwriter and film director.

Life

Boccia was active as a dancer and choreographer in the 1930s and 1940s; as an actor in dialect pieces, he was seen. From 1950, he moved into the film business, turning a total of 20 films; best known are his adventures and historical films, such as Julius Caesar, the tyrant of Rome (1962), Samson and the white slave girls (1963) and Il deserto del dominatore (1964 ); often he turned to Kirk Morris. In the late 1960s he turned then some spaghetti westerns.
