Tanpaku

Tanpaku of Japanese蛋白for "protein", was a Japanese project for calculating protein structures using the method of Brownian dynamics. In the context of distributed computing was used to as a cross-system platform BOINC.

The project was located at the Science University of Tokyo, where he was the Yamato Laboratory ( Department of Biological Science and Technology) and Takeda Laboratory ( Department of Information Sciences ) looked after.

On 18 August 2008 the server of the project suffered a severe damage to the hardware. This resulted in the setting of project failing.
