Tanya Stephens

Tanya Stephens ( born July 2, 1973 as Vivienne Tanya Stephenson in Richmond, Saint Mary Parish, Jamaica) is a Jamaican dancehall reggae artist.

In addition to Lady Saw, Macka Diamond, Lady G and Ce'Cile it is one of the most successful female dancehall deejays.

Life

Stephens attended the Zion Hill Primary School, then St. Mary's High School and began writing songs at an early stage in their spare time.

After leaving school she went to Kingston and sent the music producer and musician Noel Brownie a demo cassette with a song called Dear Friend to. It did not occur to a recording, but a release of the song.

In Ocho Rios she asked Barry O'Hare before another title with the name Is This For Real, which she later sang about the Far East Riddim. This was then incorporated into a compilation called Further East and thus to Tanya Stephens first song release. As more publications from this time Can not Beat The Feeling are to name and Amazing Grace at Apache Scratchy.

Finally, they sang Big Things A Gwaan 1993 for X-Rated, with whom she drew attention to himself for the first time. After she recorded her first album for RUNNetherlands, her breakthrough came in 1996 with Yuh Nuh Ready Fi Dis Yet. Then she released the record company VP Records 1997, a compilation of their most successful songs.

In Germany they first gained greater recognition through its cooperation with the dancehall band Seeed Music Monks on the album.

After the album Sintoxicated, which she recorded during a three- year stay in Sweden, she returned to Jamaica.

Tanya Stephens is in a relationship with her producer Andrew Henton, the son of the producer "Computer Paul " Henton. She has a daughter.
