Taphius

Taphios (Greek Τάφιος ) In Greek mythology, a son of Poseidon and Hippothoe, daughter of Mestor.

As the leader of Tapher or Teleboans Taphios fought the Mycenaean king Electryon whose herd of cattle had been stolen from Pterelaus; there were killed, eight of the nine sons of Electryon. The Theban commander Amphitryon finally defeated and captured the Pterelaus Taphischen Islands.
