Tappen is a village in Kidder County in the U.S. state of North Dakota. According to the census in 2010 it had a population of 197 over an area of 3.1 km ². The population density is 63.5 per km ².
History
Tappen was founded in 1882. The village was named after the settlers Sheppard Tappen. 25 km south of Tappen is the built in 1913 by German settlers Glueckstal Lutheran Church.
