The Taravo is a river in France, which runs in the department of Corse- du- Sud on the island of Corsica. It rises in the Regional Natural Park of Corsica, on the north flank of the Monte Grosso (1895 m), in the municipality of Palneca, drained generally in a southwesterly direction away from larger settlements and ends after 65 kilometers in the municipality of Olmeto, almost on the border with neighboring community Serra -di-Ferro in the Gulf of Valinco in the Mediterranean Sea. In his opening section, it flows through the named after him Taravo level ( frz: Plaine du Taravo ), as Taravo beach ( frz: Plage du Taravo ) in the sea passes over.
